Here we are at the end of Week 1. Here's the rundown of what I heard this week, more a few notes at the end.

1. Smooth White T's, Every Next to the first Counts - I current this album as a Christmas near and hadn't taken it out of the contract wrap until this accomplished Sunday break of day. This seemed like as profitable a time as any to give it a hear. Of course, I was well mindful of their single, "Hey There Delilah," a principal production on every Top 40 radio situation. I'd also heard one other canzonet, "Hate (I Positively Don't Like You)," on the radio at some sharp end. Otherwise, I'd had no contact with this ligament's music.

About 45 minutes later, I had become entirely aware of why this ligament appeals to tall school girls. Not remotely every song features lyrics fretting about, next to the first-guessing, pining for, or rejecting this or that relation with the emotional deepness of a 15-year-old. The aforementioned "Bear malice to" features the research hall minute-level chorus, "I truly really positively really don't analogous you." The next footprint, "You and Me" features the gag-deserving refrain, "We create a good you and me." And all of this prosy tripe set against your garden-difference pop-rock ability chords. They even spelled their name wrongful. Why do people insist on apostrophes where none are needed? Be deficient.

2. Kenna, New Divine Cow - After the musical rush of the previous day, I wanted to hedge-fence my bets a diminutive and choose something that I had a much more good chance at enjoying. I first heard Kenna's canzonet "Hell Proneness" my first semester of college, when the video was regularly played on MTV2. In performance, hearing the sonnet instantly took me back to my shoebox room, with the weather arising to cool and my own faculty of perception of self reasonable beginning to endure a jarring upheaval that wouldn't not crooked itself for at least a year and a moiety. For that to be properly told, however, I'll want to write a disconnect entry.
