With the chorus to Steve Taylor's "Jung and the Unquiet" spinning through my noddle I made the call.

My new doctor is a woman who is the same age as me. (I'm not listing her name here for the final cause of her privacy, but if you absence a referral I can get you one.) I'm not fully convinced if I chose her in regularity to continually confusion myself ('look what she's done with her vitality! now look what I've not done with my the breath of life!') or if it has something to do with choosing someone from my own match group who presumably grew up with the same pop cultural references ("recollect when G'n R released TWO albums on the SAME DAY?" "No way!" "WAY!"), or perhaps I lawful couldn't two yards falling in love with a man or a woman who was much older than me.

That's not crooked, I said "falling in love". Freud has this big theory about what certainly happens when 'speak therapy' (for the duration being, I'll use that term alternately with 'psychoanalysis') becomes sufficient: a 'transference' occurs and the instructor takes the broad way of the love object, which can be any in posse person who is (or was) emotionally shut up to the patient. This method the therapist is seen, bonded with, and treated as female parent or father, sibling, mate, lover and/or metamorphose ego at different seasons in the course of usage. And this is a natural affair; it is what naturally happens to the emotions when one individual sits in a latitude and spills his mysterious, ugly bowels to a professional who is experienced to be kind, accepting, empathetic, non-judgmental, and who listens and processes every vocable. (It is also a of nature freaking rollercoaster that happens to be scaring the hades out of me...but I'm sure I'll get back to that.)

So I've been doing a lot of inquiry lately to try and see through what is happening here. Why am I touching these crazy emotions toward this someone I barely be assured of? Aye, there's the rub--the relationship is completely not poised; I've gone out of my way to be more incredibly brutally...
